Lipocell 2

AUTOLOGOUS ADIPOSE TISSUE

Lipocell is the first and only closed-circuit system for the atraumatic purification of autologous adipose tissue with a tubular filter to have obtained both Italian and European patents.
The Lipocell patent ensures a “gentle” processing of adipose tissue, preserving its structure, vascular–stromal niches, and the entire extracellular matrix, while maintaining both its mechanical properties and its filling capacity intact.
This innovative technique prevents tissue fragmentation, preserving the full potential of mesenchymal cells and ensuring superior visco-modulating and filling effects.

The device is supported by six scientific publications and more than 20.000 procedures performed.

Lipocell: The Answer to Regenerative Medicine with Stem Cells from Adipose Tissue

what is LIPOCELL

Autologous adipose tissue is rich in mesenchymal cells, also known as adult stem cells. Mesenchymal cells have the ability to differentiate into various cell types, including osteoblasts (bone cells), chondrocytes (cartilage cells), and connective tissue cells. This capability promotes the regeneration of damaged joint tissues.

PERCHE' LIPOCELL

European Patent Office logo

the european patent

The Lipocell system is the only one on the market to have obtained both an Italian and a European patent as a closed-circuit system with a tubular filter.

The Lipocell patent was developed to provide a “gentle” washing of adipose tissue, preserving its structure and maintaining both its mechanical properties and filling capacity. This innovative technique avoids tissue fragmentation, preserving the full potential of mesenchymal cells.

The Lipocell patent safeguards both the vascular-stromal niches and the entire extracellular matrix, which are as essential as the mesenchymal cells themselves. The Lipocell procedure ensures superior visco-modulating and filling effects while preserving tissue structure.

THE POTENTIAL OF AUTOLOGOUS ADIPOSE TISSUE

Autologous adipose tissue is rich in mesenchymal cells, also known as adult stem cells.
Mesenchymal cells have the ability to differentiate into several cell types, including osteoblasts (bone cells), chondrocytes (cartilage cells), and connective tissue cells.

This characteristic, together with the ability of purified adipose tissue to modulate the immune system by reducing inflammation and pain at the injection site, promotes the repair and regeneration of damaged joint tissues.

Simple, Effective, Safe Procedure

THE BENEFITS OF OUR PATENTED METHOD

The procedure involves a small sample of adipose tissue, determined by the desired final volume, equivalent to 20% of the harvested volume, typically taken from the abdomen, buttocks, or inner thighs.

The tissue is collected using specialized blunt cannulas with oval-shaped openings, ensuring a completely atraumatic process. Once harvested, the tissue is processed within the LipoCell system. Using a patented semi-permeable tubular membrane, pro-inflammatory oily and blood components are effectively removed.

The processed tissue retains both its physical structure, ensuring high mechanical capacity for the graft, and intact vascular-stromal cellular niches.

high regenerative potential

The adipose tissue, once purified, is able to modulate the immune system, significantly reducing inflammation and pain in the joint where it is injected.

FEATURES

BLUNT-TIPPED CANNULAE WITH OVAL-SHAPED OPENINGS DESIGNED TO FACILITATE THE COLLECTION OF LIPOASPIRATE
MINIMAL MANIPULATION OF THE TISSUE

CLOSED CIRCUIT

HIGH REGENERATIVE POTENTIAL

MINIMAL MECHANICAL STRESS

TOTAL PURIFICATION

A Small Liposuction

Adipose tissue is harvested through a small liposuction of the subcutaneous fat, preferably in the abdominal area.

The patient is positioned supine, and two symmetrical access points are created between the lumbar and iliac abdominal regions (1), or alternatively, a single peri-umbilical access (2).
Depending on the patient’s characteristics, alternative harvesting sites may be selected, such as bilateral trochanteric fat (3) or lumbar fat (4).

Approximately 60–120 ml of lipoaspirate is collected, yielding a final volume equal to about 20% of the harvest (between 12 and 24 ml), ready for injection.
The harvest is performed using specific blunt-tip cannulas with ovoid ports, ensuring a completely atraumatic procedure. Thanks to the new cannula included in the kit, subcutaneous harvesting is even safer and guided.

The collected tissue is processed inside the patented semipermeable tubular membrane, which enables the elimination of pro-inflammatory oily and blood components.

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia using Klein’s solution, preceded by light sedation.

AUTOLOGOUS ADIPOSE TISSUE IS INDICATED FOR:

  • Musculoskeletal disorders: treatment of osteochondral lesions and moderate osteoarthritis, or severe osteoarthritis in patients who are not candidates for prosthetic surgery. Applicable in the management of tendon or ligament injuries in association with surgical repair.

  • Spinal surgery: used in association with disc herniation removal procedures to modulate inflammatory processes, stimulate disc repair mechanisms, and prevent adhesions.

  • Maxillofacial surgery and dentistry: used for volumization, tissue regeneration, and functional improvement.

  • Coloproctology: fecal incontinence, anal fistulas (recurrent or non-recurrent), recto-urethral fistulas, and Crohn’s disease with perianal complications.

  • Gynecology: vaginal atrophy as support for the regeneration of damaged tissues, for vaginal rejuvenation.

  • Urology: urinary incontinence and vesicouterine fistulas.

  • Management of difficult wounds, ulcers, and diabetic foot: provides biological stimulation by modulating inflammatory processes and promoting tissue regeneration.
